Mayor of Strathfield, Gulian Vaccari said Australia Day is a day for embracing the community at the start of a new year.

“Australia Day is a wonderful opportunity for all Australians to come together and celebrate all that is great about our country, past, present and future. It is also a day for the Strathfield community and communities around the country to reflect on the contribution of our diverse cultures which make Strathfield and Australia a great place to live,” Cr Vaccari said.

“I look forward to seeing the Strathfield community join in the celebration, welcome new Australians and enjoy the games and activities on January 26.”
