The Strathfield community is invited to join in the Australia Day celebrations on Wednesday 26 January from 8am at Strathfield Park.

Strathfield Council will hold a citizenship ceremony and The Hitmakers and Loop de Loop will entertain the young and old. Plus for the kids there will be an animal petting farm, showbags and free giveaways.

Strathfield’s Australia Day Ambassadors Jonathan Coleman and Ian Rogerson of WSFM’s ‘Jono and Dano Show’ will present Council’s Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards.

Mayor of Strathfield, Tony Maroun said Australia Day is great community event to bring people together at the start of the new year.

“I look forward to seeing the Strathfield community join in the festivities, welcome new Australians and enjoy the live entertainment and children’s activities,” Cr Maroun said.
