Go4Fun program returns in 2015

Strathfield Council is pleased to announce that the Go4Fun healthy kids program is returning to Strathfield in 2015. Council is proud to support this free, fun program to help children to become fitter, healthier and happier.

The Go4Fun program is a healthy lifestyle program aimed at children aged 7 to 13 and their parents. Go4Fun aims to improve eating habits, fitness, teamwork and overall health in children who are above a healthy weight.

The program will return on Saturday 31 January, and will include 10 interactive sessions led by qualified health professionals. The sessions focus on games and activities to help children learn new skills and make friends in a fun environment.

Mayor of Strathfield Cr Gulian Vaccari said the Go4Fun program is a great opportunity for children and families to make changes to their lifestyle, diet and exercise routine.

“The Go4Fun program provided significant assistance to a number of Strathfield families in 2014. I encourage parents to consider whether their child might be suitable for this program and make the most of this opportunity to make positive changes to their lifestyle,” said Cr Vaccari.
