Free HSC Art Exhibition in Strathfield

Strathfield Council will hold the third annual HSC Art Exhibition next month, showcasing the works of some of Strathfield’s most talented school students.

The HSC Art Exhibition will include the major works of Visual Arts students from local high schools including paintings, drawings and printmaking. The exhibition will also feature artwork from students from Strathfield’s sister city, Gapyeong County in Korea.

The works will be on show at a free exhibition in the Strathfield Town Hall from December 3 -8. The HSC Art Exhibition Opening Night on Thursday December 4 will include a series of award presentations to some of Strathfield’s most talented young artists.

The artworks will be judged by a panel comprising of Mayor of Strathfield, Cr Gulian Vaccari, Director, Art & Design Institute, Mrs Jae Hee Cho, and art dealer, Mr Kevin Hill.

Mayor of Strathfield, Cr Gulian Vaccari said the HSC Art Exhibition is an important event on Council’s calendar.

“The HSC Art Exhibition has become a significant event for Strathfield to celebrate the creative talents of students in the local area, and for the first time, students from Gapyeong County. It is also a fantastic way to recognise the quality of the education facilities and staff at the schools who have supported these students,” he said.

“I encourage everyone in the Strathfield community to come to the HSC Art Exhibition and enjoy the works that these students have worked hard to create.”

The HSC Art Exhibition will award cash or gift vouchers to the winners of the award categories, with thanks to sponsors Strathfield Partners, Pancakes on the Rocks, Noggi, Outback Steakhouse and S&S Wholesale.
