Strathfield Council has begun taking registrations for the popular program of Seniors Week activities from March 15-23.

Council will run a series of activities as part of the program, including yoga, croquet, tennis, golf, tai chi, cultural activities and musical performances.

Mayor of Strathfield, Cr Daniel Bott is encouraging all seniors in the Strathfield community to get involved and register for events that interest them on the program.

“There are many active seniors groups in Strathfield, and Council is proud to acknowledge their importance in our community. Seniors Week is a great opportunity for seniors in the area to enjoy social occasions together,” said Cr Bott.

The program includes a number of free events, and others available for a small registration fee. Assistance with transport will be made available for most events.

To make sure that everyone is able to participate in the Seniors Week program, ticket allocation will be by ballot if an event is overbooked.
