Auburn Police Area Command is partnering with PCYC Auburn for a 7-week program ‘Fit for Service’ that helps young people between 17-24 years, who have a keen interest in pursuing a career in Policing to learn further information, skills and background.
This is a free, entry-level program that will have a range of educational, investigative and training components.
The “Fit for Service” program will expose participants to various Police roles and specialist units, exploring recruitment and training requirements, fitness testing, civilian roles, legislation and criminal investigations, Police powers, court process, history of Policing, community expectations, managing shift work and much more. The program will involve a number of field visits to Police units, as well as guest speakers and workshops.
This program will be conducted one day a week, for 7 weeks, from 25 Oct to 6 Dec 2022, between 9am to 3pm at PCYC Auburn (Wyatt Park – Church Street, Lidcombe).
