Strathfield Council is conducting a draw to select speakers for the Extraordinary Council Meeting on August 11 relating to the proposed Comfort Women Statue.

Due to the overwhelming interest in this matter, Council has determined that there will be a maximum of eight speakers to address the meeting – four speakers in favour of the proposal and four speakers against the proposal.

Should more than four speakers request to speak either in favour of or against the proposal, speakers will be selected by a random draw.

The draw is open to members of the public and media.
