Library Lockers are Coming to Strathfield

Strathfield Council has embraced new technology by commissioning three innovative Book Lockers that will be strategically placed throughout the LGA the Book Lockers to maximise the libraries exposure to community members, the first Book Locker will be installed at High Street Community Centre in mid-September the second will be installed at Strathfield Library in late October and the third is a prime spot at Strathfield Square- So you can grab your books while waiting for the train.

The Book Lockers will enable members of the community to use the Strathfield Library by increasing accessibility and convenience; can’t make it to the Strathfield Library during opening hours? No worries you can now Borrow and Return your items at any Strathfield Council Book Locker 24/7, library material will be delivered to the Book Lockers Monday- Friday.

Library members will be able to request items online via the library catalogue or from Strathfield Library.

Items can be collected from the Book Locker when available using a Strathfield Library card or with the new QR code notification of items arrival will be sent via email or SMS you will have 72 hours to collect your items.

When it is time to return the library items, there will be return facilities at the lockers or they may be returned to the Strathfield Library directly.

Staff will be available at the Strathfield Library to provide assistance with the new system during library opening hours Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 8pm, Friday 9:30am - 6pm, Saturday 9am - 4pm Sunday 1pm - 5pm or phone us on (02) 8762 0222 to discuss any questions you may have.
