Your chance to get fit, learn new skills and have fun with a series of programs designed specifically for the over 50s. Please see the program at the bottom of the page for information on how to register.
Computers for Seniors
Council runs 8 week computer courses to cover the basics of computers and how to use them. This course is free and registration is essential to secure a place.
Running simultaneously with Technology for Seniors classes is Technology Tutors. Technology Tutors are free small group sessions led by a volunteer tutor to offer additional support for those wishing to master technology.
Twilight Tours present an ideal opportunity for local Seniors to enjoy the rich night time activities Sydney has to offer. Please see the flyer below for tour options and dates.
These ‘fitter and stronger’ exercise classes are designed to improve balance, coordination, strength and flexibility. Held every Thursday during school term.
Line dancing is a fun and easy way to get fit and make new friends! No previous experience is necessary as the instructor will show you all the basic steps to get you started. Held every Wednesday during school term.

Strathfield West Senior Citizens Club Inc
Strathfield West Senior Citizens Association (for people aged 50 years+) meets at the Strathfield Community Centre, Mondays between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Activities include bridge, indoor bowls, Tai Chi, folk art, crafts and outings. Membership is $10 per annum and $15 for couples (ie husband and wife). A Birthday Party and Christmas Party is held annually.
Strathfield Council's Community Bus conducts a 'pick up and drop off' service on Mondays at a cost of $1.00 which covers the cost of fuel. The service operates on volunteer drivers being available. Average pick up at 9.30am. Government Bus 807 stops outside the centre.
Fees: $2.00 per day includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Location: Strathfield Community Centre, 1B Bates Street Homebush.
Disability access: The centre has disabled access (ramp, disabled toilets, disabled parking).

Strathfield Croquet Club
Croquet can help you get fitter and healthier, and it's a great outdoor social activity for seniors.
