Strathfield Council is committed to celebrating and showcasing the artistic talents of artists from many different cultures and backgrounds and encouraging its local community to participate in artistic programs, from beginners to established artists.

Art Exhibitions at High Street Library

View the amazing free exhibitions at High Street Library, during Library opening hours. A range of exhibitions from our culturally diverse communities are scheduled for 2019. Details of the current upcoming exhibition are available here.


HSC Art Exhibition

The HSC Art Exhibition is held annually at the end of November and features amazing artworks created by local Higher School Certificate (HSC) students.

This year’s Exhibition will be held from Thursday, 29 November 2018 – Tuesday, 4 December 2018 at Strathfield Town Hall. Free entry.

Chinese Calligraphy Classes

Chinese Calligraphy means “beautiful writing” and is a respected visual art medium in China.

Beginner classes are held Tuesdays 9:30am – 12:30pm during school terms at High Street Library. Classes cost $3 for Strathfield residents and $5 for non-residents.
