Strathfield’s Movies in the Park will celebrate the start of the school holidays with a free screening of Despicable Me on Saturday 13 April to conclude the Movies season.

The 2010 Universal Pictures animated comedy features the voices of Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand and Julie Andrews in the story Gru, the world’s greatest villain whose plan to steal the moon is interrupted when he encounters three orphan girls looking for a father.

The family friendly event will commence at the special time of 6.30pm, in Strathfield Park, located on Homebush Road, Strathfield. Families are encouraged to arrive early to get a good spot, bring a picnic and snacks.

For those who arrive early, the screening includes free popcorn donated by Event Cinemas Burwood and giveaways from Anytime Fitness North Strathfield.

Movies in the Park will break for the winter months, with a new season of outdoor movies scheduled to commence in October 2013.
