April 19 – Give your business idea a leg-up

Strathfield Council and Sydney Institute TAFE are offering budding young business people a leg-up with a Certificate IV in Small Business Management course for job seekers in May.

Aimed at jobseekers and perfect for those with a business idea ready to be developed, the Certificate IV is a nationally accredited course under the Australian Quality Training Framework.

The course will allow participants to complete all 10 units that form the building blocks to completing a comprehensive business plan in just five weeks.

Completion of the course is also a requirement for those wanting to enter the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) self employment program for unemployed people who wish to start their own business.

The course will be held on Mondays and Fridays between 10am and 5pm at High Street Community Library, Strathfield from May 2. Course attendance is free, however a $52 administration fee applied.
