Yarrowee Wetlands is located within Freshwater Park, Strathfield in the upper reaches of the Cooks River. The wetland was restored in 2010, providing a feeding habitat and breeding site for a variety of native wildlife including frogs, skinks and small birds.

The project included the construction of a wetland to treat stormwater flowing from several local streets and the planting of over 2000 locally native shrubs, grasses and groundcovers to serve as a seed orchard for the Strathfield Council Native Nursery.

The project was managed in partnership with the Sydney Metropolitan Catchment Authority and Strathfield Golf Club.
