Did you know you can turn your food scraps and excess garden vegetation into nutrient-rich, organic fertiliser? Worm farms are a terrific way to recycle most food scraps, whilst composting is ideally suited to recycling excess garden vegetation.

You can learn more about setting up a worm farm/compost unit on the Office of Environment and Heritage website or contact Council’s Customer Service on 9748 9999.

Council also runs free workshops on worm farming and composting as part of the Treading Lightly program in association with other Inner West councils. For more information and to register visit the website or contact Council’s Customer Service on 9748 9999.
