Council is working in conjunction with local pharmacies to provide a safe sharps disposal service in the local area. The authorised collection points are:

To safely dispose of your syringe needles and other medical sharps, place them in a hardened plastic container with a secure lid (preferably an official yellow sharps container) and take it to one of the above pharmacies. Loose needles will not be accepted. Council then arranges for collection and appropriate disposal of this waste
Sharps waste should never be placed in the garbage bin.
