Garden Vegetation Collection

If you live in a house or town house, use Council’s garden vegetation collection (green lid bin) to recycle your leaves, small branches, grass clippings, weeds, flowers, prunings, tree branches, and untreated timber (up to 1 metre long and less than 150mm in diameter). The garden vegetation bin is collected on the alternate week to the recycling bin.
The following materials are not acceptable:
  • Trade, industrial and shop waste
  • Wrecked motor vehicles or motor vehicle parts
  • Tyres
  • Materials from building work and demolition work
  • Tree trunks, tree roots and large tree branches
  • Broken concrete, bricks, stone, earth, or similar loose material
  • Thorny bushes
  • Refrigerators, washing machines, concrete tubs or stoves, water heaters, white goods.
