The Strathfield Town Centre is a medium size retail, commercial and residential centre and is the most important commercial area in the Municipality of Strathfield.
In line with with Council's 'Vision 2020', it is embarking on a bold process to redesign and revitalise the Strathfield Town Centre to achieve a public domain of exceptional quality to meet the needs of Strathfield and the broader community well into the future.
A key feature of the project process involves Council working closely with the community and all stakeholders in a series of workshops and consultations to draw on the collective issues, ideas and visions to facilitate and determine a long-term vision and master plan for the future of the Strathfield Town Centre.
Following an extensive design and public consultation process to revitalise and upgrade the Strathfield Town Centre, Strathfield Council publically exhibited in September 2008 the Strathfield Town Centre - Draft Concept Master Plan.
Council is currently finalising further design and feasibility investigations, such as detailed traffic modelling, which in addition to issues raised from the public exhibition will guide the next steps in this process.
