About Boden Reserve

The objective of this park is provision of safe play areas especially for children under surveillance of adults. This park features a dedicated children’s playground.
History
The land on which Boden Reserve is built is divided by a large and deep drain. The land was acquired by Strathfield Council for a public park as the land was considered unsuitable for building. This park was named in honour of Frederick Boden, an Alderman of Strathfield Council [1924-33]. (Reference: Jones, C, Parks, Reserves & Memorials of Strathfield, 2004).
