About Begnell Field

Begnell Field is one of Strathfield’s largest parks measuring 4.24 hectares in size.  Begnell Park features a large sportsground, suitable for Rugby League and other sports.  The park has many uses but is suitable for large organised gatherings including function hire or markets.  There is considerable on-site parking available with entry from Madeline Street. 

Hire of sportsgrounds

The following facilities are available for seasonal or casual hire:

• Winter:  1 Rugby League Field or 2 Touch Football Field (no lighting) – Weekdays only
• Summer:  1 Football Field or 2 Touch Football Field (no lighting)

Park Management

Begnell Park is managed in accordance with the Strathfield Council Facilities Plan of Management (2005).  Begnell Field is generally licenced during winter season and hired on a seasonal or casual basis during summer.
