Sylvanus Street Kerb and Gutter Reconstruction
Council’s contractor, Enwon Australia has commenced road works in Sylvanus Street, Greenacre. Enwon will undertake a letter box drop to inform residents of the works.
Works include the relocation of the kerb and gutter, reconstruction of the crossing aprons for the full length of Sylvanus Street on the eastern side only. Works will alleviate the scraping problem that most residents have when entering their driveways.

Powells Creek Open Space Corridor
Strathfield Council is in the process of carrying out a number of projects within the Powells Creek Open Space Corridor. These projects include the construction of two pedestrian bridges, a cycleway from Pomeroy St to Parramatta Rd, and a Master Plan for the open space area. In addition, Council has recently removed a number of noxious and environmental weeds from the area between Allen St and Pomeroy St.

Laker Reserve Closure
Laker Reserve, Elva Street Strathfield will closed for the replacement of the railbridge over Powells Creek by Railcorp. The works will begin shortly and will be completed in approximately 3 months. The footpath on that side of the road will also be closed.

Strathfield Park
Strathfield Council will be constructing a series of trails throughout Strathfield Park used to encourage informal recreation and in the future, will include an environmental trail for schools and community groups. Works are expected to commence on 7 July 2008 and will span over several weeks. The works are not expected to impact current site uses. Please refer to the attached pamphlet for more information.
