The Strathfield Main Library is located at 65-67 Rochester Street (cnr Abbotsford Road) Homebush.  The Library is open seven (7) days a week  and provides:

• Collections
• Music, CDs and DVDs
• Community languages collections
• Large Print and talking books
• 16 public access computers with internet and word processing
• Meeting and group study rooms
• Local Studies Room
• Photocopying (black and white and colour) and fax services
• Pre-school Storytime
• School holiday activities
• Reading groups
• Council Customer Service Centre
• Payment of Rates and general Council payments can be made.
• Council enquiries (please note that development applications can only be viewed at Council’s Customer Service, 65 Homebush Road, Strathfield during business hours.)
• Council forms

The Library has an access ramp and lift access between the ground and first floor.  An access toilet is located on the ground floor. Signage to the lift and toilet is also in Braille.

Hearing loops are located at the Customer Service Centre (ground floor) and Reference Desk (first floor).

Getting There

The nearest railway station is Homebush, which does not have disabled access. Strathfield Station does have disability access but requires a longer walk taking about 15 minutes.

Information on bus and train services and timetables to the Main Library is available from the State Transit Authority or by telephoning 131 500.

Parking including disabled access parking is available near the library.
