Strathfield Council encourages active participation by its community in decision making and programs.
Council's Community Panel is a large group of local residents. On an occasional basis, Council contacts panel members to ask for comments on current intitiative, programs or plans. Information collected from the panel provides Council with guidance to community attitudes for Council's significant programs and strategies.
Local Community Forums are held on a regular basis on a precinct location basis. They provide opportunitites for local residents to speak directly with Councillors and senior staff on a range of issues. Forum provide opportunities for active community participation.
