Strathfield Council has a Community bus, which seats 19 people. The Bus is primarily used for Council programs such as community services and library transport. At times when the Bus is not in use, it may be available for hire by non-profit community groups in the Strathfield Local Government Area, whose members are unable to use public transport, or who do not have the resources to hire commerical vehicles.
- Applications for use of the bus will be assesed by Council in accordance Council policy (see attached).
- The Bus can not be taken outside of the metropolitan area of Sydney and set distance limits apply.
- Fees and charges for bus hire are outlined in the Community Bus Application Form.
- The Community Bus is not available for commercial hire.
- Council reserves the right to refuse applications
As the Bus is in frequent use, you are advised to check availability with Council prior to submitting an application forms.

Library Bus Service
The Strathfield Community Bus service provides transport for local residents who have difficulty using other means of transport to attend Strathfield Main library on the first Wednesday of each month.
