Strathfield Council’s Community Services section provides information relating to the planning, development, facilitation and provision of both direct services and assistance to the community, as well as information about service provision by organisations servicing the Strathfield Municipality.
Community Services Section aims to address the needs of:
- Children and Families
- Women
- Young People
- Seniors and people with disabilities
- People from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Background
Community Services also facilitates and co-ordinates a number of community based working groups. These include:
- Access Working Group
- Children’s Services Working Group
- Community Safety Working Group
Community Services also oversees Council's Community Grants Program.
Throughout the year Community Services organises a variety of community events, seminars and programs including parenting programs, seminars on health and domestic violence, family fun days, youth and seniors week activities, Information Days at Strathfield Town Centre, Harmony Day, Community Safety Audit.
