Mayor’s Message

I am pleased to announce Council has launched its annual Christmas Appeal and this year supports The Smith Family and the Exodus Foundation who provide assistance to people in need.

Our community is a most generous one and last year many of you made kind donations to our Christmas Appeal and once again I invite you to join me in supporting this appeal to help others who need it most.

Community members can drop off their donation of new toys, books or non-perishable foods at Council’s Customer Service Centre, Strathfield Main Library and also at the High Street Community Library until 14 December.

Hear the latest Council news

Council is hosting an Area Community Forum for Homebush and Homebush West on 25 November at Scout Hall, Ismay Ave, Homebush from 6.30pm.

The forum is an opportunity for residents to come along and discuss their community concerns with the Mayor, Councillors and Council staff in an informal setting. Residents will also be able to find out the latest information about Council’s latest projects and initiatives.

Community Report letterboxes soon

Council will soon commence distribution of its annual Community Report 2009 to residents outlining key information about Council’s activities.

A concise version of Council’s Annual Report 2008/09, the Community Report 2009 features information about what Council has achieved during the reporting period in its core business areas, such as planning and development, waste management and building and infrastructure management. Council’s financial details are also included in the report.
