Parks and trees pesticide use
Council maintains over 60 parks and reserves and thousands of trees. Pesticides are used to treat weeds, termites and other pathogens.
In June 2007, Council adopted a Pesticide Use Notification Plan. The aim of this plan is to meet the community’s general right to know about pesticide applications made to outdoor public places that are owned or controlled by public authorities. The plan allows members of the community to take action to avoid contact with pesticides, if they wish.
If you have any concerns prior to, or during the control program, please contact Council on 9748 9999 or on email firstname.lastname@example.org
