The Strathfield Heritage Awards are held to celebrate Strathfield's heritage and recognise heritage Edgebaston Vale
works.

All buildings, gardens and residents of Strathfield local government area are eligible to enter.

The awards provide recognition of good practice of heritage conservation within the Strathfield Municipality.

The criteria for each category and nomination form is available below. The nomination form will be mailed to all owners of listed heritage items and properties within heritage conservation areas. 

Eligibility

The award scheme is open to all property owners (including government departments, churches, schools etc) in their respective categories within the Strathfield Council Area. Properties do not have to be heritage listed to be eligible for nomination. To be eligible, works must have been substantially completed in the past two years irrespective of when they commenced.

There are five categories for the Awards which are as follows:

  • Existing buildings - renovations, restoration and additions
  • Landscaping
  • Colour Scheme
  • New Building - heritage theme
  • Other works - archaeology, conservation plan, historical research project etc.
