Sister City
A Sister City relationship is an agreement between two cities, where each city agrees to promote mutual understanding, friendship and professional conduct for the benefit of both communities and the promotion of local government.
A sister city agreement between Gapyeong County in Korea and Strathfield Council was formalised and signed in August 2011.
This sister city agreement was established as an opportunity for extensive cooperation that would see both organisations exchanging knowledge in public administration, education, culture and tourism.
